We were lucky to have found Dorota and Michał in the pre-wedding frenzy. When we saw their page we knew it was them and only them who will take our photos – authentic, atmospheric, unlike all others, photos we wouldn’t be ashamed to display on the wall. We got what we were looking for and more. We got our emotions that keep coming back every time we look at the pictures. We got a fantastic, vivid reportage that captured the seemingly intangible dynamics of the moment. We got the crazy dance fever and all the background details we had missed for obvious reasons and which were captured by the genius lenses of Dorota and Michał’s cameras.
It was an amazing day and we will remember it as such. We will be growing old somewhere in a Danish nursing home, carrying along the frames and colours of that day, reminiscing with a glass od schnaps, going back to the wedding when we were young and in love, having a time of our lives. And for the time being we have – albeit narcissistically – hung the pictures around our apartment to remind us that we are young and in love, and that we were having a time of our lives at our wedding party.
I can tell all the people who are still pondering their choices not to do so anymore and choose WhiteSmoke Studio, because wedding photographers with such passion, creativity, professionalism are hard to find. Dorota and Michał don’t know what routine is and they can make the reportage unique and true-to-life. ANIA + MISZA
A hundred and twenty five guests from five countries. Different cultures, customs, languages. A real Tower of Babel – this is what our wedding reception was like. And amid all that chaos – us, Ania and Misha, the Newlyweds, giddy with nerves. We are different, too. We speak different native tongues, we have different tempers, but we have one Hing In common – we hate to have our pictures taken. Our holiday photos are the best evidence. There are usually three takes of one scene – of a disgruntled Ania, of a disgruntled Misha and a view of the surroundings, askew. No wonder that the perspective of a wedding photo shoot scared Misha more than the Catholic Church.
Fortunately, we found Dorota and Michał – true reporters, practically unnoticed during the ceremony and the reception. Only after looking at the photos could we see that they had been everywhere. We loved the idea of swapping a typical posing session for a really professional reportage of our special day. And the resulting album impressed and astonished not only us – we could hear exclamations of delight from London to Moscow, and it isn’t easy to impress Moscow, as everybody knows.
It’s fun to have a book of your own wedding. The bride’s beauty is captivating, the groom is calm and distinguished, the guests – graceful in their dancing poses, joyful if a little tipsy. To sum it up in one word – classy, as our Russian friends said it and believe us, it’s a huge compliment coming from them!

We are really grateful you were with us on our wedding day. Your presence alone was a huge support, it’s difficult to put a finger on it, but we felt comforted by the fact that whatever happened you would be there for us.
We were looking forward to seeing the photos with patience, but also with anxiety, not because of the quality of pictures, but because we didn’t know what they will look like published in your blog. We know it is visited by a lot of outstanding photographers from all over the world, so we were apprehensive. After the publication all that anxiety turned into emotional joy and since then I’ve been spending some time on the blog every day. Seeing the pictures was a moment crowning all the wedding preparations and ceremonies. We had seen a lot of photos before and I know I wouldn’t like to remember myself in such photos as they wouldn’t reflect what I was feeling. Your photos, however, captured the moment, the emotions, the space, they gave me back my feeling of that moment. They were like wine – from the first smell that gives the impression and stirs emotions to the long, addictive finisz you want to come back to. Your photos rocked our world, made us go back to those moments and re-live them, knowing that the memories will not fade, but they are forever enchanted in the time, the light, the movement you have captured. We made an appointment at a café in Krakowskie Przedmieście in Warsaw. The two people waiting there for us turned out to be two megapositive souls and it felt as if we had known them for years. They are professional and pay attention to every minute detail.

I hate it when someone takes my photos. I always come out like Big Bird from Sesame Street. But everyone kept persuading me that there must be a photographer and a cameraman at the wedding. Eventually I caved in and agreed to hire a photographer. No, wait, I didn’t hire mere photographers. I hired two ARTISTS – not for what Dorota and Michał do is art. I enjoyed the session and so did my husband – you can see it in the photos, we grin like Cheshire cats – and it’s all thanks to them. One cold winter day we decided to visit a wedding fair in Warsaw. We had had no idea of what such a place may look like, so we were shocked to see masses of vendors crowding the doorway, pressing their leaflets in our unwilling hands. It was no better inside. Lots of cubicles, vendors offering their services amid chaos and noise. And among all that there they were – cool, calm and collected, so much unlike everybody else. We stopped to drink in their peace. Dorota, Michał and their baby – their PORTFOLIO. Beautiful photographs and a really interesting wedding reportage made us stay with them longer than it may have seemed. They were the only ones we remember from the fair, because they gave us what we were looking for – professional photographs and individual approach to each couple. This is what makes each wedding reportage by Dorota and Michał unique. We arranged a private meeting then, where we could get to know each other better, followed by a fabulous engagement session and the unforgettable wedding day, captured on film by our wonderful photographers.

MAGDA + GRZEGORZ
I always wanted my classmate Dorota to take my wedding photos. Unfortunately the dates clashed, so we opted for an engagement session with an album. During the shooting we felt shy at first, but soon we opened up and started enjoying these almost intimate moments together. On our pleading, Dorota and Michał made an exception from their usual austere setting. The candy-sweet backdrop of University Library gardens didn’t take away the characteristic grainy, feisty quality, the mystery of the images remained. Thank you!
