Here are a few words from our Bride to inspire all the brides-to-be!:) Jo, thank you for sharing this story with us!

What a way to spend a day! It was spectacular from start to finish. Having planned the day whilst Tata was serving in Afghanistan for 6 months, returning just 2 weeks before the big event the anticipation was high. I was awake by 7am trying not to disturb my sister/bridesmaid Rebecca, but the excitement was already building. Having checked preparations downstairs in the ballroom and seen my mother-in-law, Sophia, who delivered all the cakes it was onto the bridal preparations. I was joined by my best friends, one of whom had flown from all the way from Singapore to join us. Being together with them in my room for hair and make up set the emotional bar high, and the tears were flowing! I soon gathered myself and with the finishing touches to hair, make up and the dress we were out the door and into the car…no wait…the horse-drawn carriage! Tata had arranged a carriage as a surprise. I will never forget the look on a little girls face who was waiting to see who would emerge from the hotel. She looked star struck!

The carriage ride to the Chapel was breathtaking. Everyone waving and smiling, shouting congratulations. We came around Parliament Square and past Big Ben to lots of cheers and happy faces. Dorota was jumping in and out of a black cab working hard to capture the moment! As we approached Birdcage Walk and the Chapel my nerves were building. State Trumpeters announced our arrival and the service began. A sense of calm fell upon me at the top of the aisle, and accompanied by my Dad and sister, with the choir of the Guards Chapel and the strains of Handel’s Zadok the Priest, walking down the aisle was unforgettable. Seeing Tata’s face and holding his hand everything fell into place and the rest of the service flew by with laughter, tears and the knowledge that this was the perfect moment. Despite the incredible Chapel, pomp and circumstance of the Jubileed weekend, to be surrounded by all our friends and family, telling your best friend that you want to spend the rest of your life loving them, it doesn’t get much simpler that that.

As we left the Chapel the sun broke through and we were serenaded by the sound of Robbie Williams sound-checking ‘Let Me Entertain You’ on the Mall for the Jubilee concert! Champagne flowed and everyone could relax. The rest of the day was a buzz of happy people sharing in a celebration that far exceeded both our expectations. Dorota and Michal have captured so many wonderful moments and were exceedingly professional and courteous on the day. Truly a pleasure to work with – even when we made them chase us through the park after we had escaped on the horse and carriage for a quiet half hour just us two!
