Your wedding
Everything worth telling
Documentary wedding photography begins with looking closely. We photograph affection, humour and quiet moments. We also step right into the middle of the dance floor. We notice the light, surroundings and details that create an atmosphere and connect individual moments into a story.
See how we see.

When are you getting married?
If our approach and photographs feel right for you, get in touch. We will check our availability and send you our wedding collections.
Tell us your date, location and a little about your plans. You do not need to know which option to choose yet. Select what interests you and we will work through the details together.
Booking in English: send your enquiry in English. We will reply in English with availability, coverage options and prices, and explain the next steps before any payment. An enquiry does not commit you to a booking.
The data controller is WhiteSmoke Media Sp. z o.o. We will use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry. You can find details in our privacy policy (in Polish).

Dorota & Michał
Lovely to meet you
We met at a press agency. Working for the press taught us to respond under pressure and find our way through unpredictable situations.
That experience is invaluable at weddings. So are patience and curiosity about people.
We are inspired by street photography, cinema, music, travel and abstraction. We love the elegance of a simple portrait, but also a touch of humour and situations we could never have invented.
We often think of our work as jazz. There is rhythm, careful listening and improvisation. Freedom backed by years of practice.

Two perspectives, one story
When we photograph together, we each notice something different. Dorota loves photographs with several stories unfolding at once. Michał looks for visual anecdotes and unexpected ways of seeing a situation.
One of us stays close to you while the other photographs your parents’ reactions or what is happening among the guests. We bring these two perspectives together in a single story.
You can also choose coverage by one photographer, Michał. We will help you decide, taking the flow of your day and your preparation locations into account.

Our philosophy: authenticity & emotion
A wedding brings together people from different chapters of your lives. We photograph real moments: laughter at the table, children playing, emotion. We also document moments you might not notice yourselves. We work discreetly without asking you to pose. Before the wedding, we talk about your expectations so you can feel at ease. We catch spontaneous gestures without asking for a repeat. Light and composition are central to our work. We photograph the ceremony and the celebration in a way that reflects their energy. We use natural light, sometimes adding flash to shape the atmosphere. We interpret each moment in our own way, creating a cohesive story full of character.

Portraits with character
Portraiture is another of our specialities. We bring experience from fashion and studio shoots to a natural approach, combining elegance with ease, movement and your personalities.
Before the wedding, we discuss which portraits matter to you. We will find the right moment for them so you still have time with your guests.
You do not need to be models. We will find beautiful light, offer guidance and help with that familiar question of what to do with your hands. The result is honest portraits full of character, reflecting your love and the emotions of the day.

One wedding,
many stories
Natalia and Bartosz at Ciekocinko. From the light in the room during preparations to the emotion in church, quiet portraits, conversations and dancing. One day, seen up close.

Analogue photography
For over 20 years
We have been photographing on 35mm and medium-format film for over 20 years. Its colour, grain and rendering of light give photographs a distinctive character. At your wedding, we can combine film and digital photography to create hybrid coverage.
If you are interested in film photography, select hybrid coverage in the form. We will show you examples and discuss the options.

Why WhiteSmoke Studio

The photographs we received take our breath away. They are the most beautiful wedding gift imaginable. Every image is so alive and full of emotion that it almost takes us back in time. Thank you for being so wonderful to work with. You truly are the best!
Izabela & Gabryś
We were delighted with Michał and Dorota from the very beginning, and we still are. It is hard to find photographers who convey such depth of emotion, capture the uniqueness of each moment so well and make its energy, emotion and joy feel so tangible.
Natalia & Bartosz
Thank you for easing the atmosphere during preparations and not letting us get swept up in the panic. Neither we nor our guests felt at all self-conscious around you, which matters so much at an intimate celebration.

Three simple steps
From our first conversation to your own album
First, let’s get to know each other
We will check your date, send you our collections and talk about your plans. There will be time for questions and getting to know each other. We will spend many hours together, so it matters that we are a good fit. Once you choose your collection, we confirm the booking with a contract and an advance payment.
Close to you on your wedding day
We observe and respond to what unfolds. We know when to come closer and when to give you and your guests space. You can focus on each other and the people celebrating with you.
Then we bring the photographs together
After the wedding, we secure the files and develop the film by hand, taking care at every stage. We select and edit the photographs in our own style. Selection and editing take experience: this is when individual frames become a cohesive story.
Photographs you can hold
An album is a different experience. You can sit together, turn the pages and point out a detail you had missed before.
Your choices matter when we design it. You know which photograph holds a story only you know, and which image belongs beside your grandmother’s portrait.
We help bring these images together into something you will want to take down from the shelf again and again. You can choose a collection that includes an album or order one separately.

A few things before we talk

How do you help us during portraits?
For most of the day, we photograph what naturally unfolds between you and your loved ones. During portraits, we offer guidance and help. You do not need to practise anything beforehand.
Will you take family photographs too?
Yes. Alongside documentary coverage, we take group photographs with family and friends. Before the wedding, we will discuss who you especially want photographs with.
Do you always photograph together?
You can choose Michał on his own or Dorota and Michał as a duo. Two photographers are particularly helpful when important moments happen in different places at the same time. Select the option that interests you in the form. We can discuss the final choice together.
What is hybrid coverage: digital + film?
It combines digital photographs with images shot on 35mm and medium-format film at your wedding. Film adds its distinctive colour, grain and response to light. We have been photographing on film for over 20 years. We will share examples and explain the scope of this option with our collections.
Do you photograph weddings outside Warsaw?
Yes, throughout Europe. Tell us where you are planning your wedding so we can take the location into account when discussing arrangements and pricing.
How can we find out about your prices and collections?
Once we have your date and location, we will check availability and send you a link to our detailed wedding collections, including coverage options and prices.
Does sending the form reserve our date?
The form starts a conversation. Your booking is confirmed by a contract and the payment specified in its terms. An enquiry does not commit you to anything.
Let’s talk about your wedding
