Jakub and Lyndon’s wedding at Platinum Palace brought family and friends from Poland and Britain together in Wrocław. From getting ready and emotional speeches to live music and a packed dance floor, we photographed a celebration shaped by the people closest to them. One story, celebrations in two countries

Kuba and Lyndon celebrated in two stages. An intimate wedding with their closest family took place at London’s Savoy hotel, followed by a larger reception in Poland. David Pullum photographed the London ceremony. They invited us to tell the second part of their story.

Getting ready and welcoming loved ones

The whole Platinum Palace hotel was reserved for the guests. The day began with time together at the hotel spa, while we joined Kuba and Lyndon for their preparations. Later, they walked down the red carpet to meet their loved ones, accompanied by a string quartet and their families’ applause.

From our first meeting, we remembered their energy and openness. Getting to know each other before the reception helped us stay close on the day and respond naturally to everything unfolding around us.

Kuba’s WPJA award-winning portrait

This portrait from the preparations won second place in the Creative Portrait of Groom category at WPJA TRI-2. Michał drew inspiration from fashion photography and Tom Ford campaigns. It shows how a distinctive portrait can sit alongside spontaneous moments within a wedding story.

David’s photographs from London brought the earlier ceremony into the room for everyone to share. There were tears during the slideshow, followed by speeches, champagne and the start of the party.

Wedding at Platinum Palace: live music and dancing

Kuba and Lyndon planned an evening that gave their guests plenty to share, from listening to speeches to singing and dancing together.

Live music and artistic performances were an important part of the reception.

We photographed both the centre of the action and the reactions of the people watching.

“Our wedding day in Poland was the most memorable day for us and our guests, a day filled with laughter, tears of joy, dancing, singing and merry making. We also had lots of live art performances and music which really helped to make the atmosphere unforgettable.
