We have been building WhiteSmoke Studio together since 2005. We photograph weddings, portraits and brand stories. We make films and share our experience with photographers.

We met while working at the AKPA press agency. It taught us to pay attention to people and respond to the unexpected. Today, we draw on that experience at weddings and on commercial shoots alike.

Dorota Kaszuba

An artistic eye, practical ideas. I bring my attention to people, colour and composition to the needs of each story. This is how I work at weddings and on projects for brands.

Michał Warda

I put ideas into practice. I combine light, movement and technical solutions to give each story the right form. When the plan changes, I find a new way.

Photography is a state of mind – bold, honest and unpredictable. It brings reality and dreams together.

The most compelling moments often lie in the subtleties: gestures, relationships, light and shapes. We look for them closely, knowing they cannot be repeated. We appreciate simplicity and human beauty in its many forms.

Our style is creative documentary. We draw inspiration from classic photography, fashion, the street, travel and cinema. Story, light and timing matter to us, as does our own interpretation of what we see.

Good photographs also begin with a connection. We want to get to know the people we photograph, understand what matters to them and create space for them to feel at ease. This helps us make photographs with character – images that feel true to the people in them.

Photography and film are part of how we live. We bring the same passion to telling couples’ stories as we do to portraits, films and commercial projects.

Travel, films, jazz and exhibitions. Books, good food and sport. Walks with a camera and having fun together. All of it finds its way into our photographs.

How we work

Each of us notices something different. We combine our documentary experience with an understanding of light, composition and storytelling. Depending on the project, we observe and respond to events or create an image on a carefully prepared set.

Working in press photography taught us to make decisions, work under pressure and stay engaged with what is happening in front of the camera.

On your wedding day

People and what happens between them matter most to us. We photograph attentively, giving you space to experience your day. During portraits, we help you find the light and feel at ease.

Working together helps us capture moments unfolding at the same time and bring them into one story. You can choose coverage with both of us or with one of us. We will help you decide, taking your plans for the day and getting-ready locations into account.

On your wedding day, our attention belongs to you. That is why we especially enjoy the photographs you send us afterwards – the ones where you catch us at work.

On set for a brand

We begin by talking about your goals, your audience and where the material will be used. We adapt our approach to the project – from documenting the people and life of a business to a planned portrait session, brand shoot or film production.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

We document life within a company, create portraits and produce content for brands: advertising, brand and corporate films, business and industrial photography, architectural and landscape photography, and event coverage.

We combine photography and film, adapting the way we work to each project. We share both the finished work and what happens behind the scenes.

Experience
we share

Since 2007, we have been running wedding and portrait photography workshops for professionals and enthusiasts. We have taught hundreds of photographers in Poland and abroad. We also share our experience at photography and filmmaking conferences.

We are Fujifilm ambassadors.
In previous years, we also collaborated with Nikon Poland, Leica, Angelbird, Canon and Nanlite.
