Kew Gardens Wedding, ech.. Znacie Kew Gardens? To są Królewskie Ogrody Botaniczne w Kew – kompleks ogrodów i szklarni pomiędzy Richmond i Kew w Richmond upon Thames, w południowo-zachodnim Londynie. Kiedyś bywaliśmy tam całkiem regularnie :) Kiedyś mieliśmy w Londynie sporo ślubów i innych zleceń. Jednym z ulubionych wciąż pozostaje ten.

A quick peek from Laura and Jamie’s wedding. The wedding ceremony took place in London Kew Gardens, which is without doubt one of the London’s finest places for having a wedding. It has such a special atmosphere around, and the gardens are so beautiful, you just can’t take enough photos of it all. We feel so very fortunate to get to share such special days and moments. We love working with people who are so into showing how much they mean to each other. We can’t say enough good things about Laura and Jamie and their lovely families, who all made us feel so welcome. Laura and Jamie, we hope your life together will be as filled with love and warmth as your wedding day was, we wish you that with all our hearts! x

Kew Gardens Wedding

Many brides-to-be look for inspiration on our blog, so we’ve asked our couples to give us an insight into their wedding arrangements – how they chose the clothes, accessories, flowers, venues etc., and how the planning was progressing. We consider it an honour that our brides want to share their experience to inspire brides-to-be!

Here’s how Laura remembers those months leading up to her wedding. Laura, thank you for sharing this story with us!

My dress was designed by Priscilla of Boston, I got it at a little boutique in Angel, London. It was about the 10th dress I tried on! I’ve never been a big shoe girl so I got mine from Monsoon, and they did just fine! I know a lot of girls spend hundreds on shoes but I thought it was a waste as you don’t really see them anyway! For my bridesmaids, they all got the same blue dress, but as they’re all such different girls we wanted to customise each dress so they all got different straps and sleeves made.

Jamie’s was wearing a Ralph Lauren Prince of Wales checked suit. The shirt and tie were Ralph. And his shoes were classic brogue shoes by Grenson.

We planned our whole wedding in six months.. it was quite hectic but we didn’t want to wait a year. The best piece of advice I can give is to make lots of lists! Just work out what needs booking in advance, and what can wait til nearer the time. And don’t obsess with things, at the end of the day – no one notices what the table plan looks like! Oh and one last bit of advice, we were told that one thing will definitely go wrong, so just prepare yourself for that and don’t panic when it does. As it happened, quite a few little things went wrong but we didn’t really care as we were having such a great time! Enjoy it, there’s no other time you’ll get everyone you like in the whole world all in one room!

Kew Gardens Wedding – a few words from our bride and groom

We searched really hard to find the right photographers for our wedding – you can’t afford to get it wrong on your big day! We were so happy when Dorota and Michael said they were able to do it as we loved their style – capturing natural expressions and poses was exactly what we wanted, we hate the generic ‘posed’ style that a lot of wedding photographers do, weddings are personal and so should your photos be. We can’t stop looking at the photos and everyone we’ve showed them to absolutely loves them. They have a very unique style. They were also very accommodating and easy to work with, and we’ll definitely be using them for a family portrait in the future! Your big day goes by in such a flash so the right photos are the most important thing to have, and I’d recommend Dorota and Michael to anyone.
